Modern Slavery Statement

Home Connections is committed to improving its practices to combat slavery and human trafficking. We undertake an assessment and review of our processes periodically and regularly seek assurances from suppliers that their and their supply chains comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and Human Rights Act 1998.

The organisation

Home Connections is a social housing's non-profit digital solutions provider for Choice Based Lettings, Mutual Exchange, Homelessness & Housing Options. We have been providing result driven cloud IT solutions to companies and organisations since 2000.

Anti-slavery and human trafficking

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chain or in any part of our business. Our Anti-slavery and Human Trafficking Statement reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and our effort in implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place.

Our supply chain

Home Connections as a digital solutions company does not have an extensive supply chain and our suppliers are typically vetted, such as well-established other IT consultants.

Other suppliers in our chain mainly relate to the provision of administrative and non-revenue related services such as: employment agencies, cleaners, sub-contractors for certain IT functions, maintenance of offices.

Due Diligence & Risk assessment

We seek to put processes and policies in place in order to comply with applicable law. In our contracts with third party suppliers, we have introduced provisions to provide assurances from suppliers that modern slavery does not take place within their business or their supply chains.

Should any supplier be found to use modern slavery in their business or in any part of their supply chain we are permitted to take steps which can include discussions with the relevant supplier around remediation actions or termination of the contract with immediate effect.

Training

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide awareness training to those of our employees who have responsibility in relation to engaging suppliers.

As with our staff, we educate all our prospective candidates so that they are aware of what Modern Slavery means, why it is illegal in the UK, and what they need to do it they know or spot a victim, if they are indeed one themselves. We ensure that all our candidates know that we will fully support them if the need arises, and that we will provide a safe space for them.
