We partnered with Leicester City Council and other boroughs of Leicestershire to develop a new app, MyHOME, aimed at early homelessness prevention.

The challenge

Leicestershire councils needed an easy-to-use smartphone app to provide tenants the right help, advice and information for those at risk of homelessness or having housing difficulties.

Delivering on Leicester City Council’s homelessness strategy

We partnered with Leicester City Council and other boroughs of Leicestershire to build a new hope app – MyHOME. The app gives tailored advice on looking for properties, money, dealing with repair issues, welfare rights, housing benefits and more.

If a user makes a homelessness application, the app can be used to send and receive documents, contact the designated housing officer and review the user's Personal Housing Plan.

The results

The app enabled boroughs to have more engagement with their customers.
