HouseMark is a joint venture by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and the National Housing Federation (NHF), two not for profit organisations dedicated to improving housing standards. HouseMark is committed to working for, and with, the social housing sector to improve performance and efficiency. Following a detailed assessment and evaluation by the HouseMark Validation Panel they concluded that “Home Connections represents an example of good housing practice in terms of choice and efficiency”. Our CBL service is the first CBL scheme in the country to be recognised with a case study published on their site and awarded this official seal of approval.

Home Connections awarded Phase 1 Capital Moves

April 2006: The development of the London Accessible Housing Register (AHR) moved a step closer recently when the London Mayor Ken Livingstone awarded the contract for the first phase of the project to Home Connections following a competitive tender process. The register which will seek to give disabled Londoner’s better information on accessible housing as part of Capital Moves. Capital Moves is the intended pan-London choice based lettings and mobility scheme run by a partnership of the Greater London Authority(GLA), Association of London Government (ALG), the Housing Corporation(HC) and the London Housing Federation(LHF). Capital Moves has become a key target for the London Housing Strategy 2005-2016.

The Project Board will consist of:

Home Connections will establish an AHR Advisory Group comprised of disabled people from local access groups.

Mayor Livingstone said ‘Disabled Home Seekers in London can look forward to being far better informed about their choices and to a system that is consistent across the capital.’
